Marc's Experience of Classic Car Painting
I've been a "motorhead" since I was a kid in the early 60’s. There were many English sports cars that, at the time, were making a huge impact on the American auto scene. Triumphs, MG’s, Austin Healy, Cobra Mustang – these were the cars of the day. I suppose I got my love of cars from my Dad, who was always bringing home specimens for us to tinker with – a Peugeot 403, MGA and Sunbeam Alpine are a couple I recall.
As an adult I've owned and worked on several motorcycles and owned and restored several vintage sports cars including a 1966 and 1967 Karmann Ghia, and most recently a 1966 Volvo P1800, the same model that Roger Moore drove in the hit TV series, The Saint. As my passion for these autos has evolved, it was only a matter of time until my love of for them and my passion for my art crossed paths and motivated me to render these incredible machines on canvas.
